Excellent texture and use of incandescence (sp?) around the index. Looks like it's smiling at me.

Nice work. I would dull the skin a little due to the apparent corrosion just above the intake. Also, I would add the ships's shadow to the water as well as the reflection from the intake.

Thanks for the comments, guys. As for the shadows, and reflections, I still have to set up proper lighting...as well as finish the scene! Keep the comments coming; this newbie welcomes the help:)

hmmm the textures are not really placed good! at the back of the "ship" they are also not so good... btw nice work

Good point, drzorn. I have been stuck doing textures for the past 3 days trying to improve them. The next post should show some improvement, I hope.

yo mofo wtf haven't you contected me yet. I need you to do some renders in Bryce for me. BTW not a bad ship, looks like the only one on here derived from the artist's own brain (read not a tie fighter or xwing), but you need some background to speak of. maybe submit another angle of the ship so we can see the rear textures better, because the ones in front look way better. email
