Description
This is a Goldeneyed Lacewings. The eyes look golden when viewed from the front. The larva of the lacewings is a ravid aphid eater. Great to have in your garden. If bothered it has a chemical weapon that smells like mothballs. lovely insect.

So, that's what it is ?...I've got some pic's of this critter as well, didn't quite know in what to call them...and thanks for all the extra info. BTW our's are of a fawn colour, those transparent wings are just gorgeous, when zoomed-in. Cheers BB
