Description

Page 8 of 10 I'm halfway finished with Chapter 2... hoping to get it finished before the end of the week. Also, I'm feeling better now that I found some flu medicine to take. You may notice a change in the way the text bubbles are. I received a couple comments elsewhere that the pure white was too stark contrast. I am now making the bubbles semi-transparent so they blend in a bit more.

Well, any improvement based on feedback is good... Just do it according to your better judgment, tho. Like how it's progressing so far. Keep up the good work and hope you'll feel better soon.

Hmmm, I haven't a problem with either bubbles - both work for me, I'd been just as happy with the previous way. But - it's about what makes you feel satisfied with the outcome - with such an incredible story, and the work you've put into dressing, posing, lighting, scene dynamics, making my head spin - knowing the work that's gone into it - no way I'd been pointing out a thing like the transparency of the bubbles... LOL - oh well either way, I'm hooked and waiting on the next! - reposted - went and looked at an earlier posting and you know what, I liked the old way. See? When you have a variety of people looking at your work, you'll end up with a varying range of what is preferred. Do the one that is least trouble for you, the one that saves you the most time, the important stuff, is the scene set up, posing, lighting, hair, effects, stuff like that. Either way, YOU ROCK!

Excellent Lizzie! Glad you're feeling a bit better. I do like these talk bubbles better. They look a bit more professional. You know, I really like your writing style. You do a good job differentiating your individual characters and defining their personalities. That makes for a good story as much as a good plot does. You keep me looking forward to the next scene. Great job on this series thus far.

Ooooo. This page in the chapter is much more foreboding and gives you more of a sense of mystery and tension, than in your first version. It works better since you didn't show the Sith hanging around here first before having Maia and crew find them in their current condition. Excellent! And I never really paid attention to the text bubbles except to read what the characters were saying. To me any way you do it worked fine. Keep up the excellent work!

Either text bubble is okay with me. At least they aren't in screaming orange! Keeping the story moving is hard to do. Too many writers want to explore various avenues (or character quirks and backgrounds) that will not fit into a graphic novel without mucking the whole thing up. You are doing a good job here!

Good to see people enjoying your hard work. I remember a few years ago when you didn't get the feedback you deserved. I'm enjoying this very much... :)
