Description
This is a wild, young Red-Tailed Hawk who stopped by the zoo looking for something to grab. I couldn’t get a shot from the front, do to the fact the branch it is on is hanging over the otter pen.

This is a great shot, but usually where there is a young one, there is a much bigger one.Hopefully they will not go after the otters.

How amazing is this! I just had the opportunity to have one of these in my hands this weekend. They are amazing creatures and so very powerful. The legs are extremely muscular - a sign of a great hunter. Outstanding shot.
