Description

This is Crash. He's a "die hard" fan of my band Jefferson. Three years ago he saw us for the first time at a concert in the park gig we were doing in Cave Junction, Oregon. After the gig he asked where we were playing next. The next weekend he drove his scooter three and a half hours to watch us in Agness. The road to Agness is very crooked and he laid it down on a gravely curve about a mile from the gig. Even though his bike was unrideable and he was pretty badly banged up, he walked the rest of the way there. Fortunately we had a guest banjo picker with us who was a doctor and doc patched him up as best he could on the spot, after which Crash bought a half rack and stayed for the show. When we found out what had happened we helped him load his injured bike into one of our trucks and drove him back home. We found out later that he had sustained two broken ribs and various other painful injuries in the accident. He has been at every one of our shows since. He calls himself Badger but we all named him Crash. Here he is at the Cancer Benefit gig we did last night in Eagle Point. Good to see you Crash!

Now that is serious dedication. He sounds like a good guy, and your portrait is excellent!

Proof that you cannot judge a book by it's cover. I,also, have a few friends who are more than rough around the edges...but they are the best and most loyal of all.
