Well seen and the name suits it well. Perhaps you should have removed the twig running through the centre.

The Turkey Tail is growing on that twig. I couldn't remove it without damaging it. And it was in a very hard spot to take a picture of it.

Well, after seeing the tom turkey next door spreading his tail, I can certainly see why this is called what it is. Nice capture! I have not seen one of these.
