This weekend, after catching a couple of local xHCx bands, I stopped at Rachel's Kitchen for some strong coffee. There was a guy at the end of the counter, kinda young, younger than I thought to be spreading the rhetoric that spewed from his mouth. He was preaching about how WE, The Great Nation of Power needed to go into this hotspots of trouble and straighten them out. How WE have a moral obligation to bring DEMOCRACY to these poor countries and run-out those dictators that are killing their own people.
I did my best to stay out of it, until he said "Might Makes Right". I asked him what he meant by that, what made HIS view point more right than that of a Muslim living in the country. He said "Those who are the strongest should rule others and have the power to determine right and wrong." I guess that's when I lost it. Maybe it was because I grew up in a house that was ruled by a Monster who felt it was HIS RIGHT to beat his wife and kids into submission. Needless to say I was the one tossed out!
Yeah, might makes right... and my father was RIGHT handed. So many years ago and it still leaves its mark on me.

The problem is that who thinks that is so mighty is not so mighty as the movies told him.

sometimes the things that come out of peoples mouth just stun me. I cant believe that after these many hundreds of years of development there are still people who dont understand diversity. I probably would have got myself kicked out, too. Good job at defending the smart.
