Well as promised I made Willow do a dark scene and so here she is. But she never complained and held herself well in this cold wintery image, she kept that resolute pose through oh I don't know how many renders. With some deft postwork I managed to bring out some warm skin tones which I think contrast well with the snowy landscape. I love the skin textures on Willow, they hold up so well even in close up work and her makeup is also so clear.
I agonized over which version of this image to release. I had it all done like this and then I decided to see what would happen if I could work in some sleet affects. It was really dramatic but it did take away from the beauty of Willow herself and so I stuck with my original. If there is interest in seeing the other version I would post it too.
I had a lot of fun with the Armour on this. The original is the old Vandra armour from DAZ but I worked it up with new textures from Parrot_Dolphin and WhooperNnoonWalker.
Oh, and the neat winter background is from Schonee's free winter backgrounds. I rarely use someone elses backgrouds but hers were just perfect for this project. The Crow however is from DAZ and the moon was painted in by me.
Anyways I hope you all like this version of Willow. I've not seen her put into a dark fantasy warrior image yet and it shows the great versatility of this wonderful A4 character.

This is gorgeous. I love the pose and expression, and, as usual, the attention to detail. The fingernails are great, and I love the skin texture. And yes, the contrast with winter BG is fantastic. This feels very Nose to me -- I've read a lot of Norse myth (some in the original Old Norse or Old Icelandic). I love the feel of this render. Simply wonderful!

One thing folks will notice amongst my fave artists is that each one has a distinctive style that captured my attention--this is true of you work as well-- I love the comp on this--lighting and textures--and your "framing" which is as much a hall mark as Adrie's glowing butterflies and fairies...love it.

Well this is an instant favorite! Dark, intense, mystical, this image has it all. The intensity in her eyes is gripping, as is your post-work. Until I read your notes, I thought you had used props for the trees and a background photo of the moon. And that crow is the finishing touch - it really completes the scene and takes onto another plane of meaning. I've meditated in the snow on a desolate winter night, and so I have complete sympathy for poor Willow shivering through the posing for this, lol! Oh, and with this image I finally clued into the pentagram design on Willow's fingernails! As I have said before, your images are always so full of symbols...
