Description

...hoped you looked at the driftwood first and then discovered something more than you bargained for... A ZOOM looks good on this one:) Taken last Sunday when several of us photograhy buffs ate breakfast together and then headed to Mukelteo Beach on the Puget Sound for a few snaps and some more conversation. Added after the 14th comment below: The identity of the mysterious, barely seen photographer behind the log is "cosine" not atk:) Bill:) "Sure Sign of Spring" thumb_2036002.jpg

Fantastic shot. The driftwood would fetch a high price over here in the UK.

Lurker warning. That crown of spikes sure would be a hazard to board sailors.

That is some example! I have some imported bits from the Great lakes, and they costalottadosh nowadays, although I bought them before the price got out of my reach. I see the atk.

Holy moly! You're right, Bill, this thing is HUGE! I love the textures on this one, and your buddy peering over the log with his camera adds a humerous touch as well as giving it a sense of scale. That's a great shot! It was great meeting you today - thanks for lunch!! We definitely need to get together for some photography!

I did not spot the surpise - was focussed on the log 'growing' out of the sand. Great scene, Clive

Cool capture, Bill... good composition! I found some drifted wood by the Lake Huron, but I didn't like the way the pics came out...

Super shot all the way around! A zoom is needed to bring out the fantastic clarity and texture of the sand, driftwood and ocean, plus that clandestine foreign agent snapping pics behind one of the logs, Bill.
