Description

yes that is me. i put the nikon D90m on a upside down trash can and turn on the video movie on the camera. i did not know about a better setting that the one i had it on so sorry about the bad looking image here. but it do show how I was doing it some. I did take out the back and the side you looking on the video and i am uploading it right now on Youtube. i jocko500 there too. it not finish uploading so check with youtube tomorrow to see the movie. i got part one and two. I not sure if part two will be uploaded to night? Any way i was shock to take out the side you see and the back and it was still standing. I hade to use the hammer over head to knock out the studs all the way. some broke and I lift them on and when it did fall i had to go and knock the pieces out too so it will lay more flat. I had to walk on the roof to break the seams apart which i did today. i did set my camera on the best largest video mode i could. Oh I use a print screen to capture this shot. Oh In video two you will see me fall down at the very end of the movie. I would had recorded more but the batterys die on me for i had the halve way charge. thanks for looking and comments. oh i will take a photo of the tools I used too. I know the big hammer is over 35 years old and i did break the handle on it. It too was 35 years old. the 5 foot tall crow bar is weights more than the big hammer that people sayis 20 pounds. i think it 10 but who knows. and here i was thinking of buying some weights to keep in shape lol

Cool shot of you wielding that big hammer in bringing down this structure. Actually, some dynamite would have shortened this task considerably.

Great pic here Jock, and it looks like your really hammering away at it. Sometimes when your tearing down a building like that with a hammer it can be pretty dangerous if if starts falling on you. I'll check out the videos.

Tore down a chicken barn on my property about 20 years ago...40 feet wide by 75 feet long, 4 foot high concrete block walls. Tools used; large sledge hammer, a circular saw, riding lawn mower and lots of nylon rope. Removed all the metal roofing first. Used the circular saw to saw through all the support beams...(3/4 way through). Tied off nylon ropes to all the support beams, strung ropes through window openings, tied off rope ends to riding lawn mower...1..2..3..one huge pull with the riding mower...it all imploded on itself! Neighors were asking..."what the hell are you trying to do?" With my beer in hand I replied..."just stand back and watch".After all was done..took about two hours to knock down the block walls with the sledge hammer. The next day some "yayhoos" came by and offered to remove everything for free...they used the materials to build a garage! Good luck with your project, Jocko.
