Description

The larger herons are purple herons and the small one is a Chinese pond heron, from Ken Gilliland's Songbird Remix Shorebirds Vol2. Thanks very much for your kind comments on my little fantasy picture "Body Surfing". I'm again behind in my comments but hope to catch up this weekend.

Reminds me of my marsh. I really like the variety of the plant life and the seeming randomness of their placement. The compositional elements are also fantastic. The spot of red drws the eye, the diagonal branch with the heron, all move the eye just where it should go. I'm beginning to think you planned all this but then I tend to be paranoid. :)

Looks like this is a favorite for the water-birds and I wouldn't mind spending a bit of quality time there either ! Well composed scene and nice calming feel ! Well done & ~Cheers~
