Description

This render I would call one of my many failures, but I'm posting it because of the terrific modelling and textures. I'll have to remind myself not to tilt the camera and change the focal length to avoid the terrible distortions in future. Models by Don Webster and available at Cornucopia 3D

It's a totally wonderful construction, and the distortion....must be in back?...well that just makes the dome seem enormous.

Appreciate your comments on the model and textures. I wouldn't think of this as a failure. The Dome interior and Telescope is a large room and lighting and ambient lighting is not simple. I would go back to the original lights I provided with the Dome, use a simple atmospheric and just move around the camera position and see what you get as a test. The sample images I have on the product page was with a camera setting of 16mm. One thing here is your lighting sure shows the detail I have added on the back end of the scope. One last thing for all who work with this model group. I provide lots of materials and always tweak each depending on the lighting and camera angles. IN many ways I think I paint with textures. What looks right at one angle and lighting often does not look good at another.

I like this. It has depth and volume. It looks real. Great job.
