Don't know what this was s'posed to be, but I really liked the texture of the 'crude oil' sea.

Fantastic. It so reminds me of underneath the pier over the sea, with the starlings coming in to roost in the late afternoon.

The surface of Venus .. Or the Alaskan coastal waters after that huge oil spill a few years back. I really like the feel of that water, I can practically smell the oilyness (is that a word?) of it This must be underneath a dock or pier .. And those ghostly birds .. awesome.
