Description

I love alleys...for me, they are alived places, filled with emotions,where we can learn about different kind of lifes! Some, have secret lifes...Others, hiding from standard society, sometimes so hard, with the outsiders... yet, hiding from themselves, too. Also, we meet simple workers with their lives sacrificed. The presence of marginality and fear is there, too!! I think that alleys are more mysterious than dangerous in my view...and if they are dangerous, may be because the way they are observed from outside, as well their own fear, and curiously, because they are feared too... Fantastic, Ana! I love the sense of being able to create a story with each group of people. I also like that this makes my wonder about the stories I don't know of. However, whatever story I can relation to your image, I will grow more compassion. Thank you so much for sharing this with us. It is a thought provoking image in a fluid style, and that fits alleys as well.

Nice artwork. I like the spectral feel to the characters, well suited to a alley that have know many visitors and has the ghost of their memories hang in the air. Another use for alleys is taking a leak when you've had too much to drink.

I share your love of alleys, especially if they're European. American alleys are interesting, but ultimately a bit boring...oh, but they are so moody! As for this image! WOW! I have to catch up on your gallery and this is the perfect place to start simply because it is so bold and so graceful and elegant. There is also a sense of mystery to this...the way the human shapes seem both huddled and erect! What a fantastic composition!

I like your ideas about alleys. In a sense, we are all alleys. When you meet person, you sort of peer into an alleyway - hoping for the best - often fearing the worst. A very nice piece of art. Lots of movement, interaction and emotion.
