Description

A few years ago, we were treated to the extremely rare sight of the Aurora Australis. The lights in the sky were wonderful, made even more so by the fact that the Lights showed themselves on nights that were quite warm. I think they occasionally appear far down in the South Island, but almost never in any part of the North Island. Tasmania in Australia was also treated to the wonderful display. I have shown them backed by the distinctive shape of Rangitoto Island in the Hauraki Gulf, just off Auckland, a few kilometres north of here. This is a raw fractal. No layers; no post work; no palette adjustment outside of FE. One of these days I'll upload an image that's not made in FE, but for now...... Thankyou very much for looking. This raw fractal, does show us really good that aurora. I didn't know that was also been seeing in New Zealand, or Australia. But here it is, made by Rerewhakaaitu: "into the window to the rest of the world" ;-). Thank you, Merren !

A wonderful fractal and I like Rangitoto island there too. A very realistic scene fractal. Yes we do get the Aurora down here sometimes and it is a great sight.
