After seeing the movie Fiat Lux I was inspired to try and render it in Cinema 4D XL

Do you mean plagiarist, for I said that I was inspired by Paul Debevec's amazing dissertation on light reflection and illumination bounce effects. If you havent seen the movie you can and should view it at: http://www.debevec.org/FiatLux/movie/ Breathtaking, stunning, and the most realistic work of CGI art fused with science and mathematics, simply brilliant is all I can say, I was in awe when I first saw it. He is also the proprietor of HDRI/Radiance 3D lighting implementation format, thank you Paul!
