Description
As the sunset
kisses the mighty river goodnight
I stand in awe
at mother natures hand
ducks are taking off
and landing
every few minutes
there are a dozen different kinds of birds
singing to each other
with sharp little chirps
that only they understand
crickets sing their song
as little bitty fish
make little bitty splashes
so slight that you can barely hear them
but they are playing their part
and I
I stand perfectly still
not wanting to scare away
any member of the band
I think beauty truly is in the eye of the beholder. The other day I was talking to this lady and I was telling her I wouldn’t mind retiring in Umatilla and she said you must be kidding Umatilla is a arm pit. Lol. It made me laugh pretty hard. I think Umatilla is one of the most beautiful places on earth. This is the view I was looking at when I wrote this poem. I did play with the picture and added a little blue to it. I probably shouldn’t have it was crazy beautiful just the way it was. I hope everyone likes my little slice of heaven.

Heaven for me would to sitting on a porch swing having a view of Mt. Rainier and Mt. Adams and a cup of coffee in my hand and my grand daughters playing together...hope you get your dream....nice shot
