Description

"where seldom is heard a discouraging word, and the skies are not cloudy all day" Home on the Range.... Sons of the Pioneers Cowboy Songs, those lilting harmonies, telling of a simpler time, a simpler life... not to be confused with the modern fare (line from the Blues Brothers Movie..."Oh eah, we play both kinds of music here... country and western) the country rock, digitally remastered, fattened and sweetened so even the worst singer can sound like a million bucks, because that's how much the record companies invest in performers, so they'll all sound alike... easier to program radio stations that way... My Dad had a lot of old records... Wilf Carter, Hank Snow, Patsy Cline, Gene Autry, Roy Rogers and Dale Evans... and yeah, Sons of the Pioneers...Johnny Cash was considered too Rock and Roll...couldn't handle Slim Whitman tho... (of course when Earth is invaded by Martians... Slim's music is going to come in handy... as in "Mars Attacks") these days, to hear the true songs, you have to look long and hard... Ian Tyson.. Corb Lund...there is hope... Deer and Antelope footprints in mud....always look around... you're never sure of what you'll see... short series coming up, more small town stuff... comments welcome, please enjoy!

Deer prints to the untrained eye, but I've seen what's really attached to the rest of this print...and it ain't pretty, just big, green and mean ! I've played a few country town gigs...even had chicken wire on the stage, along with vast amounts of broken beer bottles, yeah, country & western ! Intriguing capture & ~Cheers~

I told you before Colin, you'll need a camera with a rear-vision mirror, watch your back ! I don't know... not quite my taste, C&W muzak, but our own Keith Urban is rather cute... Spiffy image, BB
