Description

Yup, it's Bryce again! The shells were modelled in RDS and the shell textures are all Bryce procedurals. The fewest number of objects of any image I have done recently...but the longest to complete!

First of all, this gets a 10, cuz it won't let me give it a 20. This is without a doubt the finest piece of work I've seen here in quite some time. Abolute realism. Make we want to to lock myself in a closet with my puter till I can come up with something close to this. EXCELLENT WORK!!!!!!!!!

A difficult subject, beautifully handled! Great texturing, modelling, lighting and composition, and nice use of depth of field to round it all off!

Kim, this is a fantastic image. I cant imagine the amount of work it took to produce this. The sense of actually being on a beach with waves coming in is overwhelming. Each of your art-works is as fantastic as the last. I admire your talent. Ray

Lenz...this is just (Bleep)ing awesome. You have captured and seemingly mastered what I have sought after and strive to perfect....REALISM. This is indeed a labour of love.

Just beautiful - maybe the addition of something living would add to the realism, a small shrimp or tiny fish in one of the pools. Still worth plenty more than 10 - Amazing

Yowzer, this is great, wish I'd seen it sooner, but it brightens my day all the same. So incredibly simple - not to render - but so effective, makes me feel like I'm five years old. Great stuff.

Hi, Kim. I've found this one just now, and... I can't say something new: textures, the wet sand, the field of depth... you've achieved here the EXACT SUN LIGHTING.

that's great, but I do have one MINOR suggestion. You might want to decrease the level of blue. Still, it's incredible as it, so do what you will.
