A terra-forming team tweaks the predictive compensation algorithms in one of a thousand 'seeds' scattered around the planet.
Terra-forming might be the only occupation where "breaking what ain't broken" with a touch of artistry leads to success and big bonuses. Hour by hour, day by day, the required formulation changes and at any time a toxic reaction or mutation might throw the entire environ off project-plan. In theory the 'seeds' handle such changes automatically, but nudging the base-line based on personal site-inspection - while standing in the 'rain', is what differentiates the Masters from the Repairmen.
Those who wait for 'fires' and squander their time trying to salvage environs spiraling out of control won't get a another chance with a second paying client.
