Our next character is very much like the leader, he is a temporary part until his metamorphosis. For reasons that I feel are relevant to the story I gave Captain Jason Cooper a name and created a brief history for him. The Captain grew up in a small mid-western town on a family owned dairy farm. As Jason grew up listening to the stories his older brother told of his life in the military, he dreamed of leaving the farm and leaving his mark on the world. Being a straight A student made it easy for Jason to apply and then accepted to West Point Military Academy. There Jason made a name for himself as a star athlete and as a real ladies man. While at West Point Jason met his future wife who always teased him about being a real mans man over his fear of anything feminine. Jason soon found his calling during land navigation training. Seeing a chance to lead men Jason volunteered to become a member of the 10th Mountain Division, a highly decorated unit that earned the respect of its enemies in the deserts of Iraq and the high mountain terrain of Afghanistan. Jason soon found that his view of combat was a very Hollywood tainted point of view, but unwilling to admit defeat Jason drove himself harder than he did the men under his command. Seeing that their Captain was harder on himself then he was on them, his men quickly lined up to follow the hard driving Captain into some of the worst battles of the Technology wars, Mexico, The Bahamas, Granada, Okinawa, Thailand and finally Burma. There he met up with a soul he found to be more driven than himself. He found her drive for vengence over the death of her family to be a wake up call for him and for the first time he began to doubt the life he had fought so hard to make for himself. After talking to his wife via Sat phone, Jason was going to ask for a stateside assignment, and if denied would resign his commission in order to concentrate on his wife and young son who he has seen very little of in the last seven years. As he lay in the temple mortally wounded, Jason listened to the offer of the now transformed Sorceress with distain at first, but with each passing moment, her soft soothing voice struck a primal nerve deep in his mind until the only think he could think about was getting home to his family. Exactly as the Sorceress had planned, by promising that which he desired the most Jason willingly pledged to serve the Sorceress body and without realizing his mistake, soul. Upon hearing that Jason was now the bound to the Sorceress for eternity, and would be compelled to serve her, unable to refuse her commands. Seeing the strong bond that his family held in his heart and realizing it was the one thing that could break her enchantment on him, she gazed deep into his darkest depths of his mind and found the one thing that scared him more than anything. With a maniacal cackle she cast a transformation spell that turned him into that which he feared becoming the most… What you thought I would give everything away? I have to have something to post with his new self tomorrow. Many of you may already know where this is going, I know Charley does, but you will see more soon, that I promise.
