Meet Tora. This is the protagonist of a graphic novel I am working on with a friend (have been for some time). He is a caucasian Japanese Yakuza (and there is a long story behind that reasoning) who happens to lead a group of rather nasty assasins. We see him here far from home, patiently waiting for the right moment to strike. "Chikusho, it's hot.", thought Tora, his skin glistening in the humid night air. Despite the distraction of sweat dripping down his back and the late hour, he knew that he had to remain alert or he would miss his opportunity. His target, The Triad gang 'The Inner Circle', was based in the city of Kowloon. A few months back, a contingent of the Inner Circle arrived on Japanese soil and made a rather bold strike on one of the family's shipping depots. Not the brightest move, but ballsy. Tora could respect that, but his oyabun did not take so kindly to it. He dispatched Hide and Tora out to take care of the group, who were now celebrating safely back at home in Hong Kong. At least, they thought they were safe. But when the Obake strike, it is unexpected and before you know it, they disappear, leaving nothing but carnage in their wake. Tora's head swam. Between the opressive heat and the cramped quarters, the walls felt as if they were pushing in on him. He could hear the boisterous gangsters clearly, most of them blazingly drunk on cheap beer and buzzing on who knows what else. The time was drawing close, but he had to remain patient. A moment too soon and it could all go wrong. A moment too late and he would have to abort. He took a drag of his cigarette and exhaled deeply. "Kuso. I need a drink..." I used Kfox's wonderful sweaty node-fu too. The guns are from Dayglo here at Rendo, the backdrop is a Stonemason set. I spent a long time painting the tattoo in, as well as the hair, mist, smoke, and general grunge.
