"Just another WIP" No.. I don't think I can let you get away with that. Your work is always of high quality. But this ... this is exceptionally beautiful craft .. for any medium. Several years ago I had the special privelage of working up close to a series of paintings by William-Adolphe Bouguereau. I was photographing a gallery collection for an auction catalog. When you get close to one of his portraits the sense of being in the presence of something transcendent comes upon you. The owner of the gallery walked into the room when I was up close to one of the paintings and after a pause remarked, "He was tapping another source." This is about as true an explanation I've ever heard for the quality of inner illumination that Bouguereau gave to the skin of his subjects. I have never seen a digital portrait that came anywhere close to a Bouguereau oil .. not until tonight I hadn't. Yes .. exceptionally beautiful. With great pleasure am I taking a copy with me to hang upon the wall. Happy Easter! Terry

I can not go beyond what has been said by Tea_Rex. I see this as a wonderfully executed portrait. Whatever technical mastery was used in its creation, what I see is a lovely portrait. Th dark band in the background is exactly where it needs to be as it draws the eye toward the figure's eyes. I can only find one tiny issue, and I suspect that I could be wrong about it - the contrast of light colored skin at the left of the figue's left eye seems too sharp (like a superposition of images). I suspect that is an illusion, but maybe some fuzzing there would help.
