Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

Superb colours in this capture Bill though I am not sure how vintage any of those pots are. Looks like a lovely shop to be able to stop and go browse through.. It certainly brightens the street up..

I could ramble around that place for days. Such a treat compared the the sterile malls which I never set foot in. Great shots.

Very colorful and detailed capture. Cute cactus light in the flower pot. Dana

This rocks. Everything in this window reminds me of giant non-M&M-shaped M&Ms which probably just means I have chocolate on the brain. A common occurrence with me. The colors in this are so intense and gorgeous...in a lesser photograph they'd be searing and uncomfortable, and a bit too "primary" but here it all works so perfectly and conveys such life and energy! I love the bricks and the algae like growth and the hints of dampness that seem to defy the more "civilized" dryness. That sort of tension always conveys so much when it's captured perfectly as it is here. This is a marvelously engaging piece of photographic art.

Red brick and bright potery colors make this a splendid shot.

You and Rob need to be careful...you'll get a certain kind of reputation, hanging around downtown doorways. This is the type of shop Mrs Neiwil would drag me into, we'd then spend an hour with her saying "oh thats nice" and I'd say "I'll buy you one" and she'd say "no, we've no-where to put it....oh! I really like that one" and I'd say...well you get the idea. After an hour or more we'd leave empty handed, and her final word on the subject "miserable sod! you could have bought me something" :( So I appreciate the exterior, everything looks just fine from out here.
