Taur-im-Duinath was a dark and gloomy forest that extends over a vast area of land in the southern part of the East Beleriand. Taur-im-Duinath is translated as "Forest between Rivers", because it lies south of the Andram between the Sirion and the Gelion. It extended over one-hundred and fifty miles from east to west and possibly two-hundred miles from north to south. Though it is separated from them by the river Gelion, Taur-im-Duinath was part of a great Southern Forest that extended far into Eriador. Apparently no one lives here at least not permanently and people seemed to fear it greatly including the orcs. The only people known to travel through here were a few Dark Elves wandering through it on some errand of their own. All of this land was destroyed after the War of Wrath at the end of the First Age along with most of the rest of the Beleriand. http://lotr.wikia.com/wiki/Taur-im-Duinath my worlds lol,a fine work angel.
