I found it interesting that it is called Grave Flower or Flower of the Dead in some parts of England and that it probably came to North America in ship's ballast. Beautiful background that seems to have been painted with bold thick strokes. Excellent composition, color, detail and light! I love the rich orange color that is peeping out from the unopened buds! Ho trovato interessante che si chiama Grave fiore o dei fiori dei morti in alcune parti d'Inghilterra e che probabilmente è venuto in America del Nord in zavorra delle navi. Bellissimo sfondo che sembra essere stato dipinto con audaci colpi di spessore. Ottima composizione, colore, dettagli e la luce! Mi piace il colore arancione che è ricco capolino dalle gemme non aperto! Beautiful dettaglio! Sembra minuscoli semi sotto e il dettaglio dei capelli è incredibile! Bella cattura!
