Description

I used one of the sample scenes that come with Bryce 6 to create this image. I changed the back terrains a bit by smoothing them, and then re-textured all of the terrains using the mars texture in the celestial effects category. Left the sky as it was already. Then I dropped in my latest version of the Pyro 3 model, which I made myself in Rhino 2 and a light globe beneath it. I set the camera in front of the closest Pyro and changed the render settings to Premium and selected depth of field, set to the closest object, 103.50 from the camera and hit the render button. It took about 14 hours to render. Thanks for looking. :) Best viewed full size because of the Depth of Feild.

A very sharp looking image. Thanks for explaining how you did it, seems like a lot of work, and a lot of render time, but it's a cool sci-fi scene. Nice job.

I'm glad you explained the technique you used, wish more would do this...huge render time...but well worth it... this is one damn fine image!
