Description

Hi all sorry I haven't been around. Work is totally frustrating. We went from massive business to boom, there is none. People are getting walked out the door left and right. I know I am soon. Dave thinks they are going to bail on us. I think so too. What we are shipping is all going out of California now. Ok this collage is of the ice shove. It happens every spring here. I thought you would like to see it. This is lake Winnebago and it built up 6 ft inward from the lake and I don't know how high. Much peace and love, Cheri

I have to admit I have no idea what this ice is or what caused it...but it looks great! For what it is worth, I took a redundancy package at my last job about 5 years ago now. It felt scary at the time, but I am in a job now that I much prefer. I never would have gone looking for the job I am in now if I wasn't forced to. So things do work out, but yes it's very hard at the time. Don't lose hope!

Very neat shots, although I'm not familiar with term "Ice-shove" it seems pretty self explanitory. Wonder how long it will take to melt off.

I've never heard of such a thing! This is amazing to me. I had to look it up in order to figure out exactly what had caused this. It makes total sense, but of course we don't have it here. Sorry to hear about the bs at work! Yikes! I'll be sending you all the love and good vibes I can ...

I've never herd of this. Very cool! I find it hard to believe that anything in California is cheaper than Wisconsin. I'm sending all my best wishes for some good luck.

I think we had something similar here a few weeks backs, not a regular occurance, but there was a storm, and all the ice got pushed from our side of the lake to the opposite side. That was nice because it gets a few degrees warmer for us. We're on Lake Erie. Wonderful shots, and I've never seen something like this! The forces of nature are awesome! It must have something to do with wind directions every spring. Keep a positive attitude Cheri, if you do lose this job, a positive attitude will go a long way in the next interview. Negativity oozes out and no one wants to hire someone who has that kind of aura. I'll be keeping you in my prayers .. maybe a different job will be a good thing, this one is so stressful for you. I don't know how the job market is where you are, I'll pray that there is something out there for you.

Woah! I live in Eastern Michigan, but grew up in Western MI, so I'm used to this kind of ice buildup along the great lakes' shorelines, but didn't expect to see it on other lakes, too! Silly me now that I think about it... I love these shots, partly because of the impressive ice mountains, partly because you have a person in there for scale, and also because it's clear that the weather was considerably warmer than one usually expects when seeing ice and snow like this. Very cool!
