Wow, it's been a while since I last uploaded. In fact, it's been so long I've lost count of the number of new versions of Vue there have been. I feel so obsolete!
I never quite liked the grass in Vue, so I decided to try to make my own in Lightwave. While I was at it, I decided to try to make a flower, something simple like a daisy to start with (modelling plants polygon by polygon...am I mad?? The big trick is getting the balance between accuracy and polygon count!). I'm pretty pleased with the grass, and I think the daisies work but only at a distance.
Terrain modelled in Lightwave 9; rendered in Vue 5 Infinite, on the Superior render setting; 2hrs 51minutes to render (on a 2.8ghz quad core). Figure is Miki2 for Poser 7.
