Captain Dokka Tkarro said,"Keep us far enough ahead of her to be seen, but not in her reach. We don't want to end up like those RPVs did." Commander Rose remarked,"Measure has her Neutralization pointed aft. If Toxic comes too close, she'll enter it's effect. It will cripple her hyper-frame if she comes too close. That might snap her out of her frenzy." Kali said,"ONLY another Druaga could do that." Everyone on the bridge jumped and turned to face the intruder. Kali stood still as a statue, her eyes glowing a dull red, like burning embers. Rose snapped,"I can collapse your Hyper-Frame! DON'T try anything." Kali snorted and laughed. "I DO admire your courage, but I mean no harm here. I came to watch the drama. Toxic called me, much as she called the Son of the Celestial King,Typhon, to her. Except for Typhon and I, there is only one other pure blooded Druaga in system, and the River King is it! I want to see what he does. I've never seen a frenzy of my species in my life-time, and I'm curious." Dokka snapped,"I'm bloody damned tired of people just appearing uninvited on my ship without so much as a by-your-leave! You have a space-ship! Get off OURS and ride your OWN!" Kali stared at Dokka like a turret. After an uncomfortable pause,he asked,"No witty comeback?" She said softly,"She was your woman, who died. It broke Toxic's control. I'm sorry for your loss." Dokka felt like he had been speared through the heart by Kali's sudden change of demeanor and soft words. He fought back tears and gasped out,"What? How can you...?" She shrugged. "I am Druaga. I can sense Strange Attractors in the time-stream. They have 'the Gravity of Destiny' about them. I've looked at most of your crew concerning Toxic. The number of Stranger Attractors on this ship is frighteningly large. Knowing of them lets my kind survive better. Otherwise...it'd be like trying to navigate through space without knowing of gravity. You'd end up some place strange without knowing how you got there. Speaking of WHICH..." Amma said,"River King about to make contact with Toxic astern!" Dokka muttered,"Please. Don't kill her!" Kali said,"He thinks he's her father. I doubt it." Suddenly, the feeling of blind terror washed over the ship from the rear. The need to run blindly away and of utter hopelessness seemed to seep into the very air. As suddenly, it stopped. Kali said,"You have an ANTI-MAJESTY device? Impossible! You do not have the technology to counter...unless you figured out how to counter the Nephilim's ability. Clever humans. He blasted Toxic with Majesty and grabbed her. He's reflecting her heat, but will your planet? She's drawing power DIRECTLY from your sun." She turned to Rose and stared. Rose blinked. She said,"There is the Sheol option, Captain. It is unpopulated." Dokka watched as the River King sank his teeth into Toxic's neck and shook her. Not as a predator killing prey though. It was as if he did it to get her attention like a momma cat grabbing up a kitten. Tall White Lady ran onto the bridge at that moment and almost ran into Kali's back. Kali just cut a look and went back to watching. TWL backed toward Rose and asked,"What's going on?" Rose said,"Jin's dead. Toxic's in a frenzy and almost as big as the Nautilus. River King just grabbed her. ANY non-fatal ideas?" TWL looked shocked to the core. After a moment of watching the Captain, she took a deep breath and sighed,"One. Put me on shipwide." Dokka glanced at Rose and nodded. She said,"Sunny, I need help with this. Help me sing it." Jaeko and Amma looked at each other and shrugged. TWL closed her eyes and started sounding like a carillon of bells. Kali whipped around and stared in open-mouthed shock. After a moment, she started weeping. Dokka started weeping as well, as Starshine came in and orbited her adopted mother. Toxic's fire went out as she sagged limply on the screen. Kali whispered,"I was wrong." --To be continued!--
