Description
"due to a terrible miscalculation of scale the entire battle fleet was accidentally swallowed by a small dog." DNA
I was just playing around and rendered my tripod looking like a toy. It does show the inner workings better than my previous renders. I'm reusing my Warhead model as the gubbins. Not amazingly happy with the tentacles yet. but getting there.
I'm not sure if it's clear, the two semi-spherical parts actually move inwards to protect the inner workings. I know in WOTW they had shields that could survive nukes, but give me some artistic licence. :-)

I like the look of this. It's amazing how easy it is to fool the human sense of scale. I could picture a dog barking at something like this (my dog ran away from my best robot, Groucho). When I was building robots I wanted to build a martian tripod, but I could never find a way to build decent tentacles.

Very cool details - glad to see the closeup of the model! I seem to recall a vacum having a similar effect.

I think these guys actually work better on this scale: "Who's the cutest little invader? Yes you are! Yes you are!"

cool - one must protect one's gubbins.
