Description

I was walking a newly poured walkway at a local nature center and I noticed that several of the leaves had left an imprint in the cement while it was still wet. I started snapping a few as I walked along (thinking they would make marvelous grunge overlays) and came upon this scene. Shot it exactly as it lay. I just love those serendipidous moments! Thanks for looking and your comments.

I can share the excitement with you - it's those unusual happenings around us, finding them, by sheer co-incidence and then immortalize them. Apart from that, the textures and colours are just so superb, especially when zoomed-in, almost like a loaf of Rye bread, just wanna sink those teeth in ! precious image, BB

What a wonderful image! I love the fossil-like vibe this creates. The Tulalip have a beautiful casino here, and the sidewalks have impressions like this all around the fountains and walkways. What a wonderful bit of detail!

The grain of the cement and the impression of the leaf look like it was setup that way. Very nice.

It looks like it is carefully composed. How wonderful! Great that you were keeping an eye out. I wonder how many people passed it without seeing. Beautiful capture! Wonderful detail and texture!
