Description

Hey all. For lack of imagination, I did some research on some old Creepy Magazine covers to find some inspiration. There were a few I'd like to eventually tackle, but this one ticked my fancy first. It's from Creepy #4. http://www.supernaturalcrime.com/Art/999/Creepy04.jpg I believe it was a Frazetta, so mine comes no where near this piece of work. I was just happy for the idea. I tried to make it look "painted" again, so please let me know if you like it this way or would rather see it straight up. Thanks for having a look.

The werewolf you used is nearly fluffy enough as the cover, but it's pretty good anyway! LOL XD Great send up!

Pretty damn cool. love those old creepy covers, Eerie too. I think you could go with an even more painted look...but this is bitchin.

Yum...fresh meat ! The Frazetta inspired poses look great, but if you are going for an oil painting look, IMHO I would have done some more postworking to really nail that style, but still a fine result and bring on the "Creepy's" ! Well done & ~Cheers~

Heyas, Nyt! You could have done a bunch more postwork and not hurt this--but I like the interaction. Your version is a bunch more hard-edged, bringing the composition into the modern age, and I like yours better. Not loving the purple castles in the original.

Definately the wrong place and time for sure! Cool idea to look through classic comic covers, I really like this resulting image. Regarding the stylization, just go with what you want to do and what you like- it is of course your artwork!

Great atmosphere as well as that over-the-top scary creature. One thing caught my eye, whether intentional or not. The "victim's" hand is clear and sharp in the foreground, and the rest of the piece is somewhat shrouded in fog. The hand acts to literally catch your eye and lead you into the rest of the piece...either that or I have had too much coffee this AM ;-) Great work Nyt!
