I love the emotional intensity of this series. It's quite a lot like Japanese poetry in its spare elegance with intriguing bits of "regularity" in terms of the upright poles. The floating gull is the perfect touch in this and for me, that's what "centers" this image. I noticed in this series, there's a "centering" element that's never expected but always perfectly "right" if that makes any kind of sense. This is fantastic! I'm going to revisit this series often, I can already tell that!
