Photography has been my hobby of choice since before I was old enough to know what a hobby was. Whether it’s the neighbor’s box of snapshots I was caught sorting two years before I was old enough to go to school, the twelve shots per roll I could take on my first wind-up box camera around age six or seven, or the twenty to thirty good candid shots I took on the street today with one of my digitals, the pleasure of seeing a good photo has never diminished over the years.

I've had a number of friends tell me I should be entering my photos in contests, or posting them on photography sites, or turning them into this product or that product, or any number of other things that can be done with pictures. I haven’t done any of those yet, but what I’ve decided to do is to start sharing some of them here. I hope you’ll enjoy them as much as I do.

You did a great job..

Super capture- the subjects that move are the most challenging. Well done!

Good job! I have lots of those little girls (they are females) circling me today! (5)

Very nicely done. Too many photographers now depend on auto focus. Letting the camera decide your artistic presentation (depth of field, focal point, etc) is abdicating too much in my opinion. I really like this shot.

Great shot!

But but but where's his hammer and tool bag??? I've never actually known there were bees called by that name. Lovely work on this fellow, well done. : )

With my camera, I have only 3 seconds to see if my focus is working in the LCD and that's not enough for me to make a decision. so I have nearly given up on the manual focus feature. But I did say Nearly Give Up...not quite. I'm still working with it. This is a fantastic job.

I'd say you don't need any more practice! Well done!

Nice shot. I have an XTi and it cant catch these in flight either in Auto Focus. Manual and a lot of patience is the only way I think. Well done.
