Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leafs a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.

Quite possibly one of the most beautiful, powerful and emotional poems that I have ever read.
From the first time I actually read it in S.E. Hinton book, The Outsiders, I fell in love with it.
It is with the spirit and feel of this poem in mind that I dedicate this image, to the memory of a wonderful actress, Dixie Carter (most known for her role from the TV series Designing Women), who passed away Saturday at age 70.
Rest in Peace, Dixie.
