Description

Shadow ports are illegal starship landing pads often located on barely hospitable worlds. They cater to mercenaries, pirates and smugglers who want their ships refitted beyond legal specs. The best equipped even provide repairs and rearmament for full-sized illegal warships. The bases are not hard to find, but it's not illegal to operate an undeclared starport. Catching them in the act of illegal modifications is often the hard part. Shadow ports are well-equipped with long-range detection gear and many are located on moons of gas giants, forcing approaching ships to come out of FTL outside of the massive planets' gravity wells. This means that shadow ports usually have a good chance of hiding signs of illegal activity before authorities arrive. Enjoy, and let me know what you think. The Hangar and the admin building are from the Olympus Mons set from Daz3d. The environment and ships are my own creations.

Interesting story and nice image. I like the way your mind works: you think of the little twisty things that make a world seem real, like a black market starport and chop shop.

As usual, story and image fit well together. I would have liked some more visible people to give a better sense of scale.
