Description

Bryce 6.0 - playing with the terrain editor. Hope you like my little "China impression". Looks better opened up. Thanks a lot everyone for posting comments on my previous image "Aveda"! They very much encouraged me to go on with Bryce. To the Terrageners I have to say that I meanwhile fiddled around with TG2 - also did the Ben McDuff tutorial, which turned out quite fine (thanks John, it's absolutely great!) - but experienced problems with my computer almost all the time when creating something on my own, first of all when adding some populations - and I don't really like "naked" landscapes. So that will have to wait until I'll have better hardware stuff. Meanwhile I'll stick to Bryce which is much easier to handle for me and lots of fun, and there's still so much to learn! Thanks to all the great artists here for sharing their work to give us all inspiration and the chance to learn from each other! Cheers, Susanne

Very nice landscape! Love foliage effect on the mountains and visibly sun rays (it's "volumetric world effect" option if I understand aright?).

Hi Sam! Thanks for your comment. No, it's no vol. world effect, it's just a spotlight I placed in a huge cone. The cone has a striped lit material from the presets under Misc / Lights / Lit Rays. I just modified the width of the rays in the materials lab by scaling "lits5" x and z to 75%. At least I guess that it was this preset originally, modified it way long ago! ;-)

BRAVO!!!! I really like the atmosphere in this. The POV is very cool, too! Lastly, I think your sky is very impressive - especially the rays of sunlight! EXCELLENT work!

Ich wollte ja schon fragen wann Du mal wieder was mit Terragen machst. Bei dem Bild dachte ich zunächst auch, dass es mit Terragen erstellt wurde. Klasse Arbeit. Bin dann mal gespannt was Du aus TG2 herausholen kannst.
