A very warm and tender portrait, Malene. The composition and framing gives the impression that she is leaning upon the windowsill of our own house, gazing inside .. or perhaps the fence at the edge of our yard. This lends the portrayal a sense of intimacy for the viewer. Less than an hour ago I was discussing the virtues of viewing portraits rendered in Schwarz und Weiss. & though it is not commonly seen in the galleries .. here it is performed so. :-) This is a very enjoyable work to view. I do like it. Terry
