The only butterflies I have seen around my house are white and they are smaller, but I see them quite often, this one is lovely.. love his shadow on the leaf.

Very exciting to see this butterfly, Ursula, so rare in parts of Britain now. The removal of over half of our hedgerows has caused this rapid decline, particularly in the East.
