Description

90 degrees to the left of the Gunung Bromo shots i have posted recently was the sunrise - which was a bit of an anti climax as too many clouds were on the horizon. But there were times when it poked through and there were clouds on the mountain giving this shot its depth. Enjoy! Rich

Nice starburst and great atmospheric mist in the scene. For shots like this (not sure if you've ever tried it) it can be a good idea to shoot a couple of exposures, one for sky, one for foreground, and hold your thumb over the sun during the fg exposure to block out the flare, cos you'll blend it over with the sky exposure anyway ;) Also, personal experience, I've found f/16 to produce the best sun stars, though it's cool here anyway. Miaut.
