Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

I like this quite a lot! It's funny, I'm listening to the soundtrack to Avatar as I look at this and I have to say that even though that music goes with a movie that I have yet to see, it fits this image...it has a tropical vibe to it, kinda Polynesian too...and it lends itself to this image, which just goes to show that maybe the music is a bit more anonymous than the composer wants to admit! Oh well...onto this image! WOW! It's stunning, very engaging! I can't quite decide where my eye wants to go as it roams through this...does it want to follow each individual frond, or does it want to just go brushing through, moving forward!? Either way offers compelling reasons to do so, and well...as always, your color sense is so spot on! I like the fact that the colors are more muted and less distinct, but still vivid and alive. Yeah, this is a goodie!
