Description


Trillium erectum, so named for the stalk which holds it’s leaves a foot above the ground, as opposed to the low growth of other trilliums. This is the first one of this variety I’ve seen, it grows mostly to the north of here. Previously; thumb_2046129.jpg

I had not seen such, either, but it's a fascinating flower. That is quite the intense color of red I've ever seen in a flower.
