Description

Early this morning! I caught the group heading to the spot where I normally feed the ducks. She was a little more comfortable with me being around the ducklings today. Very happy that there are still 15 ducklings. There are daily visits to our lake from Osprey, Red-shouldered hawks, Egrets and Herons. Lola’s mate must weigh in at about 20 pounds and has been driving off the Herons and Egrets. Another cloudy day. ZOOM IS A MUST. Wow, Lola leading her huge entourage to points unknown. Reminds me of the school teachers I often see leading their little scholars on tour to something or other in the city. Other than the duck and ducklings, I like the lighting and textural effects of the water behind them.

Marvelous! I really love the uniform but varied color of the ducklings, providing such a contrast to mama Lola! Great sense of color and composition throughout this image! This is marvelous and the ducklings are quite adorable.
