Description

Do you laugh with amphibians, share the secrets snails whisper in the dark? Are your fingers long and slender? Come, don't wait. Tomorrow may be too late. Send me tiny spiders crawling over my skin like eyes. Send me dry-skinned snakes, blind, I will make them see. Send me your name, send me your number. (Include SASE) Receive in reply coyote murmurs, the lingering smile of a turtle, possum probabilities.

This piece of writing contains some incredible and intriguing images. Spiders crawling over one's skin like eyes? Brilliant!! Super! I love the way this poem unfolds, the way it contains an internal logic that seems ancient in a way, almost like a series of quiet, spiritual evocations. This is marvelous writing. I like the picture as well: I once had a cat like that...a fine little "lady" who enjoyed murdering Q-tips and climbing curtains. Wonderful work!
