Description

Captured 4/16/10, around 8:15 AM, about a mile from my logy lodgings. Better viewed full size. The smiling little train was part of a portable/traveling amusement park, featuring ferris wheels, rides and the like, situated on the vast lawn area adjacent to our city hall, which also plays host to other activities throughout the year, such as concerts, health fairs, Fourth of July fireworks, Halloween carnivals, etc. I was unaware of this event during my walk, so I was most fortunate to come upon it when I did, especially at an ideal time of day, being so early, when nothing was going on, meaning there were no other humans, besides myself, to contaminate the area. In fact, there weren't even any security people to watch over the expensive equipment. What trusting souls. There was only me, footloose and fancy free, to go and do what I want in this twilight zone of fun and games. Sneak factor zero! How nice not to rush my shots in fear that someone might step in front of my lens just when I was about to click the shutter. If only the zoo, air and auto shows were like this. Anyway, time to have some postwork fun, in lieu of my usual serious stuff like flowers, shadows, snails and tigers. Photo #1 the original, variety of hue/saturations on #2, 3 and 4, and a scatter light filter used on #5. Will be doing more of these variations on various amusement park objects as time goes by. Auf wiedersehen, thankx for the look-see, and for any and all complimentary comments and favs.

My daughter would have liked the second one...she loves the lime green color...odd child takes after mom :-) Great variations Harry. I really like them all myself...and your so right. Its great getting a shot in without worrying if it will be some big blur of a shoulder or head from a person you don't even know...lol Great job here!:-)

Oh my, the colours of the real thing are quite spectacular enough for me! I always find these things have an almost sinister feeling to them...too much imagination, I guess. Nice shot & variations!

My grand daughter liked #5 best. She called it a Ghost-a-pillar. I like the original #1. Super collage. Looks like you had fun doing this and that is what it is all about my friend. Dana

Reminds me very much of a little ride we took at Hersheys amusement park in Pennslyvania with my girls, they had a wonderful kids section, I will have to go through my photos and look and see if its not almost the same little train. Love what you did with them ... groovy stuff. Love his sparkly eye as well.
