I first discovered photography at the age of 8or 9 when i was given an old box brownie and after a couple of years I progressed to a Kodak folding camera I remember it took a size 127 film.
My father built me a dark room in the loft and I spent many hours learning about processing and printing my films, both black and white and colour. when marrige and family came along time for the processing side of photography had to take a back seat.  After 50 years working we retired to Chard in Somerset southwest England (we think it could be the best part of the world). About 3 years ago we got into digital photography , recently my son Ian who has a site on renderosity (iambrose) talked me into joining, I am so glad he did as it's so nice to read the comments and see how other people view your pictures.Â

I love these old churches of your country, Wally! They are so different from those in Germany! Great old architecture, and these old epitaphs (most of them). Great catch, thanks for sharing!

Wonderful architecture. They look part church, part castle. I agree with billcody, churches in the UK are always recognizable for their unique and beautiful architecture. Fantastic composition.

This is a fabulous pin sharp shot Wally. Now try taking out the colour, it is probably just as good in b/w.

Lovely..and i prefer it in colour because of the warmth of the lichen and the stone.
