Description

This thunderstorm is building over the Superstition Mountains on the eastern edge of the Valley of the Sun (Phoenix). In the foreground is Apache Junction. This picture was taken on 28 July 1992 from an Arizona Army National Guard Bell Huey UH-1 helicopter and later scanned. Thanks for visiting, Sig...

Looks very barren. After Super Bowl XXX, I wandered about Apache Junction and the Superstition Mountains for about a week. Thanks to the folks in Tortilla Flats, I didn't starve to death. Noisy ride in a Huey. Dana
