Description

Namibia 2010 My apologies for being sidetracked by the burglary and subsequent difficulty dealing with it which took me away from Renderosity for a whole week. I am trying to start normalizing things again. (Sleep would be great too... LOL...) A huge thank you to all of you who wrote me messages of encouragement either in comments, sitemail or email! I appreciate every thought and every prayer! This is the next image in the Spitzkoppe series (shot in Namibia in Feb this year), just giving a view of the surrounding flat desert landscape! I just loved this view with the yellowing grass in the foreground! Stay well! Hugs Carin xx

Another great image, Carin! I'm sure you didn't sleep well since that unfortunate attack... are they gonna calm down soon, or the things are getting worse?

Sterling clarity, color, light/shadow and texture inherent in the massive rocks of the Spitzkoppe, contrasted against the clear, light blue sky, Carin. So happy you're back after that harrowing experience; looking forward to more of your stellar pics, and your always welcome comments on my postings, which I've really missed by their absence. I'd like you to check out my "Hold that tiger #2" offering when you're able.

What a welcome return for me to see one of your wonderful shots. I too have been away(for a couple of weeks or so). My attention had to be on my husband, who had bypass surgery a little over 2 weeks ago. All is well now, and I'm so happy to be back. This is a great capture. Your composition is perfect. Lovely image.

Ag Dierbaar ... Dis goed om jou te sien! Ek mis jou, skat. Ek sal beskikbaar wees hierdie naweek indien jy is. Liefde baie ... :X What a wonderful composition! I agree with you about the grass ... it lends a different texture to the landscape and provides a great conrast. Nicely done!

In the U.S. state of Montana they would call this 'Big Sky Country'. Looks very peaceful. Wonderful image and nice balance between the rocks and the sky. I hope you are feeling better every day.

Wonderful landscape! I like the composition mixing the tranquil sky and the uneven ground and the location of these contrasted components almost along a diagonal.
