Description
This was taken a couple of weeks ago standing on the western shore of St. Joseph's Peninsula, located about 60 miles south of Panama City Florida at the southern most tip of the Florida Panhandle.
The peninsula is over 10 miles long, and is quite a unique place. The northern top half of the peninsula is a nature wilderness preserve, with the last 7 miles leading up to the northern point of the peninsula accessible by foot only.
The gulf that afternoon was rather calm, and the sea breeze warm. The only sounds as the sun slipped below the gulf horizon were the gentle lapping of waves on the shore mixed with the seagulls making their final flight of the day.
If you look closely you can see that half of the sun is still above the horizon, although almost obscured by the late afternoon haze. And a few moments later it was gone.
It was a quiet, special moment as a wonderful day slipped away to forever reside in our memories. Hope you like it!
